Victoria Gouzikovski is a transdisciplinary artist working with alternative formats, anti-disciplinary artistic research, and counter-hegemonic design focusing on the study and construction of heterotopias.
This practice uses critical spatial research to inform projects that take on both the symbolic and speculative aspects of works of art, and the utilitarian application of spatial design and architecture.
Title: Castle
The project consists of a transparent “castle” whose metal frame is enveloped in ultramarine-blue, translucent fabrics. The overlapping fabric panels create the impression of a shimmering mirage in which visitors stand both “inside” and “outside” at the same time and see their surroundings bathed in blue.
